Alan Smith, OTRClinic Director
Alan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Women's University with his Occupational Therapy degree. He also has a Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M University. Alan has 13 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in the following settings pediatrics, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient rehab. He has been the Occupational Therapy Supervisor at Longview Therapy Center since September 2004 and was named Clinic Director in June 2011. Alan is certified to use the interactive metronome and Vital Links therapeutic listening program. He has continuing education in, but not limited to, the following areas Vision/Vestibular, Yoga, and NDT. Alan enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 year old son. Alan is an Eagle Scout and currently enjoys running, having completed two marathons.
Marya Wright, M.S., CCC/SLPSpeech-Language Pathologist

Marya joined the LTC team during her clinical fellowship year. She is a 2003 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University earning a Master's of Science Degree. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) provided by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and is a member of the Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is the Speech Department Supervisor and Marketing Director. Marya enjoys working in a specialized neurological rehabilitation setting with a sensory approach to Speech Therapy.

When Marya is not spending time with her husband, daughter, and son, she enjoys scrapbooking, running, and other outdoor activities.

Lana Higginbotham, M.Ed, CCC/SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Lana brings a vast amount of knowledge and expertise to the LTC. She has gleaned her experience in diverse settings including hospital acute care and outpatient; Long-term care; public schools; and outpatient rehabilitation facilities. She received her Master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990 and has held the ASHA CCC since 1991. She especially loves working with pediatrics through young adult with speech-language deficits and dysphagia. Other areas of special interest to her are the continuum of deficits patients experience after traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the use of language-literacy experience as a foundation for language development. She has been a part of the team since 1997.
Certifications: Extensive continuing education training in pediatric Dysphagia and Fraker/Walbert/Cox's "Food Chaining", Neurology of Behavior (Harvard Medical), Language Literacy Sensory Integration for the SLP, Interactive Metronome Certification.
Her hobbies include writing, theatre, music appreciation, and literature. Lana is an author of Christian fiction. Her first novel was published and released in June 2009 under the pen name, Lana Lynne. The sequel was released in February 2011.
Angie Briscoe, MS, CCC/SLPSpeech-Language Pathologist
The Longview Therapy Center is fortunate to have Angie, who joined the team in June 2005. She is a May 2005 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, holding a Master's Degree.
Angie brings a vibrancy and enthusiasm to the Speech Pathology team with a strong knowledge base and a talent for exceptional rapport with her patients and their families. She is currently an active member of her professional associations: East Texas Regional Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA), and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Angie demonstrates a special interest in the early childhood population, but she exemplifies expertise along a range of disorders and all age levels. Angie has earned continuing education hours in the areas of autism, childhood apraxia of speech, oral-motor techniques, and sensory strategies.
Angie's hobbies include spending time with her husband and two young daughters on their ranch. She enjoys reading, scrapbooking, exercising, and being involved with church activities.
Susie Peterson, MS, CCC/SLP Speech-Language Pathologist
Susie began with Longview Therapy Center in June 2010, after contributing her talents with the pediatric population for 29 years in the public schools. She also has experience in working with home health agencies and hospital environments with various types of communication disorders and dysphagia.
Her education was completed at Stephen F. Austin State University with a Master's Degree in Education in 1985 and a second Master of Science in Speech Pathology in 1995. She holds the National credentials of Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She also has received additional post graduate certification in DPNS (Deep Neuromuscular Stimulation) and Vital Stim (Vital Stimulation) for qualifying dysphagia patients.
She lives in Henderson with her husband, Randy, and her two Schnauzers. She and her husband are avid football fans, they enjoy going to sporting events and shopping. She is a member of First Baptist Church.
Physical Therapist
Physical Therapy Assistant
Scott joined the LTC team in early 2011 bringing his knowledge and experience from the Neurological Rehabilitation and Home Health Physical Therapy settings. He is a graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Kilgore College. Scott is a Kinesio Taping practitioner and is working on his certification. Scott enjoys working with children and is active in the Artsview Children's Theatre. He is married and has a daughter.
Roxanne Saucedo, OTAOccupational Therapist Assistant
Roxanne first became involved with Longview Therapy Center through her pediatric fieldwork rotation and became a part of the team in 2008. She is a 2007 Magna Cum Laude honors graduate from Panola College with an Associates of Applied Science to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Throughout college she has had a well-diversified fieldwork experience including: outpatient hand center, skilled nursing facility, home health, Therapeutic Equestrian Center, and pediatric camp. She has also been involved with AMBUCS. Roxanne also holds and Associate degree of Art and an Associate degree of Science (2005) from Kilgore College. She is able to provide services to a multi-cultural population, as she is bilingual in Spanish and English. Since joining the staff, Roxanne has continued to expand her clinical skills and professional certifications. She is certified in the Interactive Metronome and has continued her education in visual/vestibular treatment and Neuro-Developmental Treatment of the infant and young adult.
Sheryl CopelandTherapy Aide
Sheryl joined the Longview Therapy Center in August 2007. She is an invaluable help to the therapists, patients, and their families. Her special interest include spending time with her grandchildren, baking, being outdoors, and gardening.
Angi GravesMedical Office Manager
Angi joined the LTC team in July of 1999. She utilizes her precise organizational skill set to facilitate an efficiently run clinical office and billing system. She enjoys spending time with her son and working outdoors.
Scheduler
DeAnna joined the Longview Therapy Center Staff in September of 2010. She uses her great inter personal skills and upbeat personality in the role of receptionist and scheduler. DeAnna has one child who is a freshman. She enjoys shopping, working in the yard, and spending time with her family
