Career Development

Whether a new grad or seasoned therapist, opportunities are available through our career ladders (either clinical or managerial) and our mentorship programs. If you want to teach and mentor or if you need reassurance and support for your clinical intervention, we have the support for your success.

Many of our managers have moved into their managerial roles after starting with us as therapists. Over 79% of our leadership positions at the regional level and above are held by people who were promoted from within the company.

We believe the first step to realize your full potential is a plan. We call this plan a Development Map. this voluntary program is designed to facilitate the professional growth of team members at every level. You determine a specific professional goal, and with the assistance of your supervisor, identify the path that best leads to achievement of that goal. ProStep leaders are enthusiastic about supporting you in growth endeavors through guidance, strategic learning opportunities, and encouragement. Your personal and professional goals can become a reality. ProStep can help you unfold the map to your success!

The Ladder Program is an optional process that you can choose to guide your professional growth to the benefit of you and your patients. The ladders within the program recognize your accomplishments through a series of management and/or clinical enhancement opportunities. Realizations of achievements are rewarded through opportunities to guide and mentor others. The ProStep Management and Clinical Ladders are designed for you, the lifelong learner, striving for clinical and/ or managment excellence, and desiring a critical role in Revolutionizing Post Acute Therapy!

Our Mentorship Program is just one of the many tangible ways that ProStep encourages your development. As a new graduate or experienced therapist new to geriatric care, ProStep provides the opportunity to learn alongside an experienced geriatric clinician of your discipline. Practice sessions to review evaluation procedures, documentation standards, and clinical interventions may be scheduled during your work day to ease your transition and provide resources for growth and encouragement.

ProStep mentors are chosen based on clinical experience and successful service. By acting as a mentor, strong clinicians become stronger through teaching and team building. Mentorship is a great way to give back to the profession and impact recipients of care with a healing touch beyond the reach of your hands.
